When I turn on my TV, a screensaver appears

This has been happening for the past 5 or 6 days.  I always turn my TV on and off using the TV remote (Samsung Series 6).  When I turn on the TV, I either get A) a screensaver, or B) X1 Tips and Tricks page.  All I have to do to get rid of the screensaver/tips is press play on the X1 remote.  The problem is....I can no longer rewind the program that the X1 box is turned to.  This has never happened before, like I said only for the past 5 days.  If I turn the box to a channel I want to watch and turn on the TV, say, at 6:25pm, I used to be able to say in the remote "restart show".....it would always quickly rewind to the start of the show, say 6pm.   Can no longer do this...it will no longer let me rewind, probably because of the screensaver/tips page.  Can this be fixed.....please.

I would recommend to disable HDMI-CEC feature, which can be found here:
Settings -> Device Settings ->  Power Preferences -> HDMI-CEC.
Please, let me know if it didn't help

I am having the same problem and it is frustrating that I can no longer rewind the program that X1 is tuned in to.  I have tried turning the TV off using both Alexa and the xfinity remote and the problem persists.

Thank you...it worked!  I shouild note that the problem only occured on my XG1v4 TV Box and not the X1 box.  After reciving your respoinse I found this information on the Xfinity website:  Xi6 Wireless TV Boxes connected to your TV via HDMI cable are capable of the HDMI Device Control (HDMI-CEC) feature. This will place your TV Box in Standy mode whenever your TV is turned off and will automatically wake it up when the TV is turned on.  This launched in May 2020 to XG1v4 TV Boxes and should be completed in July.

Just had Xfinity tech solve problem. My new Sony TV has a power setting that can use "screen saver" or "last input" as a choice on TV turn on. Changed to "last input" and now tv works ok.
