Volume on remote not working

My Xfinity remote volume is not working. I have reset multiple times. Still nothing. 

all other controls work. When I try the volume the remote just shows red on the little light.

are you using your TV's speakers or a sound bar/receiver?

Same problem here. Using TV speakers, has worked fine for years. Suddenly volume, mute, and TV Input buttons do nothing.

Multiple attempts at re-pairing did nothing.

Comcast AI and online help are useless/unresponsive.

Same....tried every pairing and nothing. Just randomly quit one day.

Hey there, @user_b44354. We do appreciate you for trying the pairing troubleshooting on your end. Sounds like we have to replace the remote. You are able to visit a local service center to pick up a new remote, or we can get one shipped!

I am having the same problem, I have unpaired the remote, then tried inputting all the codes suggested and then went to replace both remote and cable box and still can’t get the volume or power on the remote to work. This is also not the first time this has happened. I am getting so frustrated I’m thinking of switching cable companies.
