Volume fluctuations

Ever since I upgraded to the X1 box my volume has fluctuated from channel to channel, either being really loud to unable to hear. This only started to happen when I went to the x1 box but worked well before and never had an issue with my soundbar. I had my x1 box replaced but the problem still exists. Is there a solution for this?

the older cable box adjusted the volume itself while newer set top boxes do not so other than pass the audio stream to your TV. this audio stream is set when it is created and is delivered to your TV unchanged from production room to your home.

So is there something that can be done to fix this. Such as a new optical cord or updating my soundbar’s firmware. It just seems odd that it all changed once I got this x1 box because even on the same channel the noise will fluctuate between commercials and show. There seems to be no reason for it
