volume control not working on remote

I know there are other posts about this but now it's my turn.  It's so annoying that I have to keep turning the tv on and off on order to get the volume controls working.  It's time for a fix to this.

is this only the first time you use the TV after an overnight reboot? is the symptom no volume at all as if sound is muted?

There’s sound but you can’t adjust it. It comes and goes.

Thanks for providing this information, @jimb4081! We definitely want to help and understand the inconvenience this can cause. I experienced a similar issue before where my remote had a delay when I would push the buttons. Would you mind providing the make and model number of the set-top box you are currently experiencing this issue on and the model of your remote? This can be found on the back of the device or under the battery cover.

just tv  -   this is a comcast (xfinity) problem    there are others with the same problem

and it happens on more than one tv with more than one remote

they've been reset mutiple times  -   but it always comes back
