Very slow Xfinity box response.

Hi, we're experiencing very slow and laggy response from our Xfinity control box. We recently had a replaced by the Xfinity store thinking that would solve our problems but the new box isn't any better. For example, when I hit pause to pause the show, sometimes it'll take 5 to 10 seconds for the action to take place. It happens when pausing, fast forwarding ,rewinding, etc. I'm pretty sure that we have a high bandwidth plan but wouldn't swear to it. Since this only began happening about six or eight months ago, I don't think it's a bandwidth problem. Can you help?

@user_248344 Hello and thank you for bringing this issue to our Xfinity Community Forum! I am sorry to read about the slow response time on your TV Box, I can imagine how frustrating this has been. You are in the right place for help, and we will get to the bottom of this with you. 

 

I have a few questions to get us started:

 

Do you have more than one TV Box? If so, does this issue happen on all of the boxes?

 

Does this issue occur with live TV, recorded content, or On Demand content?

 

Have you taken any troubleshooting steps to try and resolve this aside from swapping your box at the store?
