Use Ethernet instead of WiFi on my x1 box

I recently got a new x1 tv box, and it worked for a while on my Ethernet, but now it will only hook up to my WiFi. How to I make it use Ethernet connection again?

user_yq3y53 - Thank you for reaching out to us here for help with your X1 Box! Are you receiving an error message or code when connecting your box via ethernet? Have you treid another ethernet code to see if it helps?

No error code, it just goes to a black screen and becomes unresponsive. When I got the box a month ago, I hooked it up via Ethernet. After a couple of weeks it needed resetting, and when it reset , it wanted to go on WiFi, so I did. After a couple of days it started messing up again, so I tried to put it back on Ethernet, but it wont even recognize it. I even tried blocking WiFi access, to force it to hook to Ethernet, but that didn’t work either.

Thanks,

Jim

Thanks so much for this context, user_yq3y53. So it sounds like this is a wireless X1 cable box that we're having difficulties with. Is this the primary or main box for the home, or for a secondary television?
