Unwanted and forced sponsored content in X1 channel guide

Hello,  new to X1 and this likely has been asked before, but how do I remove the "Xfinity" sponsored rows of complete garbage irrelevant content from the guide that appear to show up on every guide page?  If I set my favorites do these go away?

Also, how do I condense the guide so that more than 5 channels are visible per page?  I'm trying this X1 XG1v4 out, coming from a Dish Hopper3, and so far this X1 Xg1v4 guide is horrible compared to the Hopper. Like really bad. really slow. Very inefficient. Almost painfully frustrating to watch TV.

Please let me know if there's a way to customize and remove the garbage sponsored content from being forced into rows in the guide ever 1 - 2 pages?

And how can I condense the guide to show more content?
