Unpairing XR15 remote

I have two Samsung TVs. I have two XR 15 remotes which have already been paired for Samsung, and each remote controls both TV's (e.g.,  turns on both TVs simultaneously whether I want to or not).   Can I unpair one remote from one TV so that I can control each TV independently?  Ideally, I would like to reprogram one XR 15 to control the older TV (which is not connected to the X1 box, BTW).  Thanks

The remote controls the TV's using IR commands (line-of-sight). Since both are Samsung, they probably have the same code set. If you have the original TV remotes, I would guess they would each control the other.

Are you sure it's IR?   I don't think that it is line of sight, since.I have split the main cable to TVs in other rooms and even outside, and the Xfinity remote works everywhere. I assumed that the signal was electromagnetic and was picked up by the cable itself.

I have tried using the Samsung remote from the older TV, but it still turns on both TVs. BTW, the older TV is not a smart TV.  The same story with the newer TV remote, which likewise turns on both TVs..

I suppose the check has evolved past this, but I remember when you chose from a list of code numbers for a particular TV manufacturer, I was hoping to find a different one for a older Samsung. I guess all the pairing is done automatically now.
