Unable to get cable box and tv connected - XRE-00002 error
I received the XRE-00002 error and have restarted boxes and tv multiple times. This error message says the channels are empty. Says there is a network error that requires a technician but the earliest appointment is in 7 days. This is ridiculus. Everything else is working which leads me to believe it is not network it is communication between cable box and comcast.
Do I need a new cable box or is there a communication problem between Xfinity and my cable box?
Can someone help? If there is a problem at comcast end it should be listed as an outage so we know we will not have TV and when to expect it to be fixed.
