Unable to Disable Screensaver

I understand there is no way to disable the screensaver.  My question is, given that fact, why would I pay extra for dog tv if you are just going to revert the TV to the screensaver after at max 5 hours.  The whole point of dog tv being you leave it on while you are at work and most folks work more than 5 hours a day.

This makes no sense to me.
