tv-DUPLICATE SHOWS TAPING ON OTHER CHANNELS
An issue I previously raised has not been addressed for years and has gotten worse. Whether it is the fault of Comcast or one of your vendors is irrelevant to me. IF I set DVR recordings for only new episodes of Jeopardy, your system records repeats. This has been an issue with channel 1425, the Game Show channel. The same problem occurs on the show Chronicle on ABC as well as on the MeTv channel 1180. The same problem occurs on 60 Minutes during the summer. The result of all this is my needing to spend my very limited time deleting planned recordings of junk repeats that should not be recording in the first place. Whatever excuses you may have, they are inadequate and reflect the disregard of the customer

I received a phone reply from a very nice lady that was a Comcast employee. She suggested that the issue was not a Comast issue but rather a TV network issue. She suggested I contact the networks to address the issue. This is so preposterous it makes me laugh and boil over in anger and is a typical corporate response suggesting "it is not our fault and we cannot correct". Paramount owns TV Land and CBS and Weigel Broadcasting owns the MeTV network. These networks apparently wish to mislead (using a kind word) the cable subscribers into thinking they are airing new episodes of shows which are anything but. Perhaps Comcast should simply refuse to carry these networks IF COMCAST cannot convince them to stop misleading consumers using Comcast DVRs. Again this weekend, I spent 10 minutes deleting future supposedly new scheduled episodes of Jeopardy and Chronicle. This summer I will have the same issue with 60 Minutes which purposely labels episodes as new even though they are repeats. INCREDIBLY sad and SHAMEFUL that Comcast is kicking the can to the consumer on this issue
