Tv turns on automatically every night at 1:13AM

Will this ever be fixed?

I'm ordering another Google TV device this is rediculous!

Welcome to our Community Forum, @user_23791b! I know I wouldn't want my TV to wake me up every night so let's figure out what's going on. Do you power off your TV every night? What screen do you see when it turns on at 1:13 AM? Please try changing your Daily Update Time to see if that helps.

I power my TV off every night.

It powers on to the home screen.

It's set to update from 6 to 8 am.

I just changed it to 8-10 am.

I've turned off cec in both the tv settings and the flex settings.

The only thing that keeps it from turning on at 1:13 am is unplugging the power to the flex.

Well find out tomorrow if it worked I suppose.

I'm a broadcast engineer and have worked in TV production for 13 years now; so I'm adept at troubleshooting. Though it's difficult to troubleshoot when I can only work with it once a day when it wakes me up in the middle of the night.

Its just very irritating! Lol

This did not fixed the problem.

Only removing power from the flex fixes it.

@user_23791b A TV turning on may be due to other things outside of the cable box. There might be a stuck power button on the remote, or the remote's batteries are running low. An internal timer might accidentally be set to turn on the TV. Or like in my home a pet turns on the TV at least 4 times a week cause he likes to snuggle the remote. Have you looked into the TV itself or other outside factors?
