TV off when TV box is on

I want to turn off my TV without turning off the TV box so I can listen to Music Choice without the TV on

I have found a solution to my problem!

Use the Xfinity button on the remote, navigate and select Settings on far right then go down to Device Settings then to Power Preferences then to HDMI Device Control and set it to off.

I hope this will save others the time and frustration is has cost me

Hello @ridekauf, thanks for reaching out for help with your TV services. If you use the TV manufactures remote, you should be able to control the TV independently of the X1 box. If you are using the Xfinity remote that has been programmed to work with your TV, anytime you hit the power button it will turn off both devices. You could also try turning off the TV manually if neither remote option is working they way you need it to.

@XfinityRyanE When I turn off the TV with the manufacturers remote the X1 box turns off by itself after a few seconds. Evidently the X1 box is detecting that the TV is off and will not stay on. I've tried turning the X1 box back on manually but that does not work either. I've also tried turning the TV off manually--X1 box still turns itself off after a few seconds.
