Terrible Lag between TV box and remote

Good evening. For the last 6+ months or so, we’ve been experiencing horrible lag between our remote and tv box. So much so, we usually workaround the Xfinity apps, with other streaming devices.

I recently saw on a few forums that the XG1v4 tv box may solve these issues as our box is a few years old.

Tried to inquire at the Xfinity store, but they said to reach out to support online for assistance:(
