Sudden limitation on the number of simultaneous recordings.

All of a sudden, I can only record two different programs at a time before getting the "conflict" screen prompt.  I have confirmed I should be able to record six at once. I have spent hours on the phone, and have had a tech visit to my house who verifies the signal, equipment and connections are all in working order. I have only used under 20% of the recording capacity. Strangely, on my "recordings" page on my laptop, it only shows for the over 30 recordings that can be found on the same page using the Xbox/TV. Don't know if this is related.

No one seems to have a solution and the Olympics are coming up!!   Has anybody else suffered from this problem, which would suggest a software problem on Xfinity's end, or has anyone found a solution to this??

@dave006 Solved.  It turns out that, after complaining weeks ago  about a $50 price hike and being given some dollar relief, they reduced my standard 150 hours of DVR storage to 10 or 20 hours. This apparently led to all of the recording conflict problems.  all this was after at least six hours on the phone, an hours of a house visit by a tech, none of which solve the problem. At least I'm all set for the Olympics now!

What X1 box do you have and how many additional STBs do you have?

Not sure of the type, but it was replaced today by the visiting Xfinity tech, and did not solve the problem. On the same subscription, I have a second box downstairs, which is essentially never used for recording. I also have a basic cable box for another TV, which has no recording function.

@dave006 I just noticed that the "potential conflict" notification also suggests I "Upgrade your DVR storage for concurrent recordings."  When I select the upgrade button it says "Looks like you don't have access".  Does this offer a clue?

@dave006 The "upgrade" prompt also says I have 20 hrs storage, and should upgrade to the "standard" DVR plan for 150 hours.  Still won't let me upgrade "No Acess".

I apologize that you had to spend so much time working on this to get to the root cause, @jackr1! We appreciate that you shared your experience and what fixed the problems so our Community can learn from this as well! Some of our grandfathered packages have 150 hours and the ability to record 6 shows at once DVR service included. If moving into one of our current packages, it has to be added on since the new plans include 20 hours of Cloud DVR service and the ability to record 2 shows at the same time.
