Subtitles on peacock

I have tried all the suggestions and cannot get rid of peacock subtitles. Everyone is correct. This started when they created profiles but never asked about preferences.

Are you able to take a screenshot of the current settings you have set for Closed Captioning through the Peacock app?

are you using an X1 set top box? press the down button, then left to the cartoon voice icon and press ok. select none (yellow). do the captions turn off?

I have tried everything and still cannot get annoying closed-captioning removed.   I have pressed the down arrow, then left.   It goes automatically to more episodes.   I have paused the show and pressed down.   I have pressed paused. I have pushed buttons until I am ready to throw my remote out the window!   There is a major problem with peacock steaming and subtitles.   Look at how many people are complaining about this in the forums.   Look at how many people have contacted xfinity.   I have read that is a problem on the peacock end and not xfinity.   I have tried that route.   Same results.  Shouldn't xfijity contact peacock and tell them there is a problem?   Last night I was able to watch one show that I was able to get in the past on peacock.   I went to watch options and watched it on another streaming channel that the show originally aired on.   No subtitles or annoying closed captioning.

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us: 
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send your message
