Streaming App Rewind Fail

Every time I try to rewind a recording using the app, it starts the show over again!! What’s the fix??

Horrible, xfinity needs to fix this bug.

We definitely understand how frustrating it is to not be able to rewind your programming on the Stream app. We have our best engineers aware of the issue and working to resolve it. We do appreciate your patience and some customers have found that uninstalling and re-installing the app can help to resolve the rewind issue.

@user_zbniqd Welcome to our community forum! I love using the Xfinity Stream app so I'd be upset if I couldn't rewind it. Our engineers have been made aware of the issue and some customers have resolved the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the app with the latest updates. Please give this a try and let me know if it's successful.

I’ve had them out they replaced the box and the modem. It still rewinds all the way. They act like they’ve never heard this,

I have the same issue - uninstall/reinstall no difference - rewind=restart.  This is from web streaming, so def not hardware related.

I am sorry to hear you are still having troubles after uninstall and installing the App again. At this time, our engineer teams are still diving into the rewind concerns, and working to a full fix. We don't currently have an ETA to have it fully restored, but I am confident our team will get it resolved as quickly as possible.

As of 2/3/25, rewind functions as it used to at variable speeds rather than skipping back to program start.  [Fingers crossed] this will continue.

Same with me I uninstalled it. It still does the same thing.  Time to shop for something new.

Can you please share the model of the device we are working with? Also, are you just running into this issue on TV apps, or are you also running into the issue on other devices?
