Spanish commentary

Why are the football games today being broadcast in Spanish on NBC CBS? The commercials are in English, but the commentating for the games is in Spanish. How do I change this back to full English?

Hello @user_voggc9, and thank you for reaching out on our Community Forum. I understand how unexpected it would be to hear game commentary in Spanish when you're expecting it in English.

To help us better understand what's happening, is this only occurring on the channels carrying NFL games, or are you hearing Spanish audio on other channels as well? Also, are you watching through an X1 TV Box, the Xfinity Stream app, or another device?

If you haven't already, our Xfinity Assistant can help troubleshoot audio and TV service concerns. Let us know, and we'll be happy to help further.

Having same issue, something changed last Sunday and it is continuing tonight:

• Using Xfinity streaming app, but away from home, different ISP (ie: NOT using home account)

• Game announcers are in Spanish

• Refs announcing penalties are in English; commercials all in English

• Toggling in-app audio settings from English / Spanish back to English does not fix problem

• Uninstalled then reinstalled the streaming app did not fix the problem

please advise how to fix this problem.

Same problem as you, but instead using the Xfinity streaming website via chrome.  Cache has been cleared on the site and still the same thing.  All language options are set to English.  So its not a SAP issue.  Its only the SNF on NBC feed that has the announcers in speaking in Spanish.  Commercials are in English and all shows after on the same station are in the correct English language.  Xfinity this doesn't seem like a device problem, but an upstream problem on your end where the feed isn't correct for TV Go. Seems like you are using the Telemundo or Universo feed instead. This has been going on for the past couple of weeks as well.  Please get this escalated on your end

@XfinityChelseaB did anyone actually read this whole thread? This is a Sunday Night Football feed issue. So it will only happen on Sunday night when the football game is airing. From the troubleshooting that has already occured from other users and myself this is an issue that likely stems as a result of you broadcasting the wrong feed from your Telemundo or Universo feed on all of your normal NBC affiliate stations for the TV GO part of your service. So for people that aren't on your Xfinity network, but are a customer. That's where this should be looked at first

user_amh78a Hi there! Thank you for sharing the trouble you are having as well with receiving Spanish commentary during the Sunday Night Football game. It's helpful to know that you are streaming the content via the Xfinity Stream website and using a chrome browser. This way we can bring the issue to the correct team to help us fix the issue.
To submit the example to our repair team can you please send us a direct message with your name and service address? We will need to run through a few steps, but from there we will be able to create a request for the repair team.
Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.

Okay, so I submitted a thorough description of the problem to “Xfinity Support” last week. Got a nasty response back that I’m violating forum guidelines because my request for technical help was “not invited” (what does that even mean???) and that I could be banned from the forum.

Really?  I followed X_Paula’s instructions to submit details about the issue, and the response I get back is a lecture on forum guidelines and threatened to be banned???

Just another example why Xfinity’s ratings for customer service are consistently in the toilet.

Now, how ‘bout you focus less on lecturing your customers, and focus more on fixing the problem (which, BTW, is still happening with tonight’s game 11-Oct).

Gracias
