"Snow" on screen when turning on box

Wondering if anyone has had this occur:  I have the X1 service and a 4K box.  For the past 10 days or so, when I turn on the box using the power button, all I get on the screen is snow (like the old pre digital days when a channel was off line) and I have to disconnect the box and reconnect for the box to boot up again.  However, when I've activated the box by simply hitting the volume up/down button or channel up/down button, this does not occur.   I have my box and tv synched so that when I turn on the box with the power button the tv goes on at the same time (though I always have to use both the X1 remote and tv remote to shut both off).  Changing the volume/channel to start up the box does not turn on the tv so I have to separately turn it on.

Not sure if this is a problem with my box only, a problem with the box/tv synch, or a comcast issue (when this happens the TV itself works fine, e.g. I can access the apps on my TV such as netflix).
