Smart resume no longer working.

We recently lost Smart Resume on all the shows we have set to record weekly. The settings are correct and Smart Resume is still 'turned on' under settings. I don't understand why Comcast wants each person who has this issue to troubleshoot the issue. Its very clear on these forums that something happened to the feature....period! Surely they must be aware when a function is completely lost????
