Smart resume not skipping all commercials

Smart resume was working as designed until recently. Now it resumes with 1 or 2 minutes of commercials remaining. Yes, you can scan past a few minutes of commercials, but after several years of working as advertised, it's frustrating for it not to work properly. Please fix it.

Hello, @user_e948a2! It's important to us that you're able to enjoy the Smart Resume feature, and we can help. Have you tried using the Xfinity My Account app to troubleshoot your TV services? If you had not already, can you try toggling the Smart Resume feature off, then back on to see if it helps? To do so press the xfinity button on your Xfinity Voice Remote. Use the right arrow to go over to the Settings menu (gear icon). Choose Preferences, then General. Press the down arrow to highlight Smart Resume for Recordings, and press OK (or the round button in the center of the directional pad) to toggle it Off or On.

@XfinityThomasA​ has the smart resume issue been escalated to the tech experts? I think, from all I’ve read on the smart resume issue on these forums, that doing a hard restart, switching boxes and toggling the smart resume setting is not working. If there is another solution, could you please let us know, or let us know the status from tech support. Thanks so much.

@serenefifty, I can say that our tech expert team is aware of the smart resume peculiarities and are working to get it resolved as soon as possible. Please do keep your eyes and ears open here, for any updates and workarounds we may find until then.

Hello @Ttomcanin our engineers are still working toward a resolve, and some of the alternate solutions have been resetting the box, toggling the Smart Resume feature off and on, have you tried any of these options.

I would think if it worked before you got a new Xfinity X1 box, it should work after.  Ours does not work now that we installed a new Xfinity X1 box.  Frustrating.
