Smart Resume malfunctioning still...

It has been widely reported that Smart Resume is stopping 30 seconds before it should. 

This goes back 2 years now. Is there any hope Xfinity will fix the Smart Resume feature ?

Hi there @Tek Thank you for reaching out about this. We understand how frustrating the Smart Resume malfunction is, especially since it's a known issue that has been affecting many customers for some time. Our engineering teams are aware of the problem and are working to release a permanent fix. 

For now, a common workaround is to use the 30-second skip feature. If you press the Exit button three times and then 0030 on your remote, you can use the Page Up button to jump the rest of the way past the commercial break.

Why is it taking so long to correct it ?
