Slow/stop motion functions

"No overwhelming demand for that function."  That's the admission by Xfinity that the slow motion/stop motion functions are inadequate by design.  What can we do to get Xfinity to add slow motion and useable stop motion to available functions?  What is "overwhelming demand" and how would one demonstrate it?
