Slow remote control

Please help.  My husband is ready to throw the remote control out the door because of the long lag time from when he hits the button, to when the tv actually responds.  I have changed battery's and also reset box with no change.  Do i need a new remote or what?

Oh no, @user_166159! Sorry to hear that the remote is being laggy and causing frustration! 

 

 

Since you have already changed the batteries and reset the X1, another thing to check would be if anything might be blocking the transmission of the signal from the remote to the box, and to try unpairing and re-pairing the remote

 

If none of those do the trick, then you can always replace your remote easily using the Xfinity Assistant :)
