Skipping

     I’m 1 day new to Xfinity. But, from all I’m reading Verizon’s remote is light years ahead of this. I set 1 minute forward & 30 seconds back and had it down perfectly….and I do mean perfectly, to skip commercials. 
     Anyway, as I am typing this, and on a live Phillies game, I just rapidly press “exit” 3 times. The word “live” showed on my screen and it stayed on the same screen and the same timing. I pressed page down and it went back 4 ‘minutes’.  Pressing the page up takes me forward those same 4 minutes. I’ll add, on the far right just above the timeline it shows 4 minutes. There is no way, and I tried several times, to use the remote to get over to change it to 0030. 
     I then pressed the Xfinity button to get to the “saved” folder holding my recordings overnight. I’m now on a recorded TV show in the middle of the program. I pressed page down exit 3times. It takes me back to the ‘live TV’ Phillies game. I tried it a 2nd time and the exact same thing happens. Only now, on the far right above the timeline it say 3:30. 
      Lastly, on the live Phillies game I again press “exit” 3 times. The word ‘live’ shows up in a grayish circle, it stays on the live broadcast, and the number on the far right stop the timeline says 4:00.  
 1st - is there a way to set 1minute forward along with 30 seconds back. 
2nd - I’d be happy if I could do 30/30. 
3rd - when, and if, I ever get to 30/30 are these available to use multiple times to skip 2-1/2 minutes (NFL) commercial time, 2 minute (NHL) commercial time, 1-1/2 minutes (NHL to get only commercial time), 3-1/ to 4-1/2 minutes dependent upon the network show, or if I get a phone call and need to go back 1-1/2 minutes. 
4th - is there at all a way to skip commercial non dependent of their length between shows. 
5 - have it work during both “live” (back, of course - then forward) shows, and recorded shows. 
Lastly - with a Fios remote I could do slow motion which, when doubled with the live event’s slow motion, made for an extremely slow and accurate look and any play.
