Set top box daily update

You are going to lose another customer. Comcast needs to get their act together. I do not want subtitles and there seems to be no fix for the problem.  I also wish someone knows how to fix another problem...everyday when Comcast updates their software, my main TV automatically turns on, typically around 4am so I wake up thinking people are in my living room.  I since have changed the time for the update but it is annoying to be watching a program in the morning, and I have to go through the update!! Ridiculous!

Thank you for reaching out to us in the Forums about this concern you are having. I definitely understand the inconvenience that the daily update may cause. I am not a fan of seeing it when I am in the middle of watching a program. However, if they happen when the TV is turned off, it won't turn my TV on, so this is a concern. I would like to go through some trouble shooting with and see about getting this resolved. Now, before we do any trouble shooting, I'd like to give you some instructions on how to change the update time. You may want to change it to later in the morning, or in the afternoon.

"Changing the Daily Update Time for TV Boxes":

1) Press the Xfinity button on your remote control, navigate to highlight the Settings wheel, and press the OK button.

2) Navigate to highlight Preferences, and press the OK button.

3) Navigate to highlight General, and press the OK button.

4) Navigate to highlight Daily Update Time, and press the OK button.

5) Adjust the Time of your Daily Update in two-hour blocks. For example you can change it from the default time of 3:00 AM - 4:00 AM local time to 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM local time.

6) Once you adjust the time, click Confirm.

Once you are able to change this, please give it a day and see if that fixes the issue. If not, please reach back out to me, so we can do some more extensive trouble shooting. Thank you again for your time and your contribution to our Forums.

No, it did not fix my issue.  I already know how to change the update date as I explained in my email already.  This is a crazy issue that needs to be addressed.
