Scheduled recordings I don’t want keep reappearing

I have the show FBI set to record all new episodes. That should mean it should only record brand new episodes on CBS. However it schedules every episode of FBI that airs on POP for some reason. These are not new episodes. So I go in to scheduled recordings on my dvr and manually cancel each of these recordings. Sometimes there are multiple recordings per day. Well starting this past weekend, even though I’ve definitely canceled them, a bunch of these FBIs recorded. Yesterday I looked and all the future scheduled recordings I canceled are back. I went through and canceled them all again. I just looked now and they are all back again so I canceled them yet again. This is annoying and there are so many things not working properly here.

1) The FBI episodes on POP should not be scheduled as they are not NEW episodes.

2) When I manually cancel a recording it should stay canceled.

I will most likely just delete FBI from my scheduled recordings altogether and then set it back up in the fall or whenever CBS has new episodes, but it is an issue that Xfinity needs to fix.

Hello @Dennisnlaurie, thanks for reaching out for help with your DVR recordings. 

When setting up a series to record, are you following these steps: 

For TV series, tapping Record will bring up additional recording options. From here you can choose to record Just This Episode or Set Series Recording.

  • To record a single episode, choose Just This Episode.
  • To record the entire series, choose Set Series Recording. The Series Recording options display. Tap Confirm after adjusting the options. These recording options are specific to that particular TV series recording.

You can change these options later by going into the series you want to modify at Menu > Saved > Scheduled then select the recording. Choose Record Options, Modify and then All Episodes.

@XfinityRyanE​ I just realized someone replied to this. Yes, I know how to schedule recordings. This recording was set years ago when FBI first came out on CBS. I have never changed it. This issue just started happening in May. It has nothing to do with how I set up the recordings. Something changed on the Xfinity software side. I’m no longer having the issue. I don’t know if it actually has been fixed or if there just aren’t any FBI episodes airing. However I see numerous other people posting with the exact same problem for other channels and shows so I suspect the issue still exists.

There are many people now reporting this.  The steps to cancel the recording work - but it doesn’t stay cancelled.  I’ve had it happen for over a week now - and three times just today….

I have a bunch of scheduled recordings that nobody in the house set up. 

It's so annoying.
