Reset flex box

I’m trying to reset my flex box to factory settings in order to pair it with my new TV and Wi-Fi again

Hello, @user_0d8591. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to Forums, were you successful in getting this done? If not, here are the steps to reset your flex box. Please let me know if you have any questions.

 

  • 1. Ensure the device is currently powered on
  • 2. Press the ‘POWER’ and ‘MENU’ buttons on your remote at the same time
  • 3. Press BOTH the UP and DOWN arrow buttons on your remote, then Select ‘Restore Defaults’ option
  • 4. Press ‘OK’ – this should cycle the equipment to perform a factory reset

From this Xfinity page, the XR16 remote does not have a menu button:

if your modem supports wps your can use the buttons on your flex and modem to easily connect your flex device to your WiFi network.   You can also change your wireless connection in Device Settings -> Network.
