Are there still DVR's with hard drives available to replace a defective one?

How come I have the only post of about 100 that doesn't have a reply?

It looks like the Arris XG1v4 is the one with a hard drive.  If a tech deemed my DVR needed replacement,

would he most likely have this DVR in his van?

Our technicians do keep a limited amount of stock in their vans, we would be unable to guarantee or know for sure. If they do determine it is in need of being replaced, if they do not have one we can always work with you to send one out, or if you have a store nearby equipment can also be picked up.

I have read older posts that the stores don't carry that model...has that changed?

Some of the stores may carry them now, I can try and take a look at the store nearest you.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send it.
