Replace my Primary Wired Bix with a wireless X6i box

My home configuration is this:  1 wired XG2V2-P cable box (my primary box) and 2 wireless x6i cable boxes.  I also have 1GB  XFI internet service and your router/modem.  I have read on the Xfinity site, that I could replace my wired box with another x6i wireless box, but first need to make one of my other wireless boxes the primary first.  Then all 3 wireless boxes would work over my WiFi w/o the need for the wired box.  Is this correct?

When I posed this question in a local Xfinity store on Saturday - the answer was definitely.  Asked the same question on Sunday and was told I would need a Wired Box that supports wireless cable boxes as th wireless boxes need to communicate through a wired box.

What is the answer and if possible, how do I change the Primary box and what reconfiguration of my x6i boxes is needed

Hello @user_0e8a9e thank you for reaching out through our forum. You would need the primary box to be wired. The wireless boxes do need to communicate through a wired box. I apologize for the confusion.
