Remote voice blue light sometimes pulsates & does not work

Usually the voice commands work on the XR11 remote, but sometimes the remote's blue light slowly flashes & the remote will not accept a voice command. I have to wait several seconds until flashing stops & try again which usually works. Holding down the blue button does not stop the flashing. Using new batteries does not make any difference.

Any ideas why this happens?
Thanks

I appreciate you posting your question here so we can help with your voice remote, @user_793642! Thank you for trying to replace the batteries, that's a great first step :). Have you tried to turn off pairing then pair the remote again?

Will that affect any settings I have that are set up in the remote, such as having the volume buttons control my AV receiver?

Great question @user_793642, it may reset your remote settings.

I turned off pairing and paired again. It worked properly a few times, which it typically does, but then started randomly with the blue pulsating light.

IOW the re-pairing did not fix the problem.

Hello @user_793642. Please change the batteries in the remote and see if it happens again. Also, we recommend upgrading to our latest X1 voice remote. the XR15.
