Remote turning to wrong channel when speaking it

When I talk into my X1 remote and say "nbc sports Bay Area", I expect it to turn to that channel on channel 720.  Instead, it keeps turning to channel 780, which I think is a "plus" channel in case two programs are going on at the same time (one sport is running long) and it uses the other channel to show the game.   I don't know how to train it to have it turn to the right channel when I say the channel's name.   Is there a way to train it?
