Remote setup on new x1 box

Received a new x1 box and remote for our bedroom tv that was needed for new features however when trying to setup remote to control volume and power it gets stuck on scanning for devices. Tried resetting everything but no luck. Any fixes out there for this issue?

Thanks, was able to get working by holding the xfinity and mute button for 5 seconds and then entering code for Samsung tv!
