remote problem
The problem I have is I purchased a Hisense-ROKU TV 58R6E3 TV and programmed my Xfinity remote with it, several times. Everything works on the remote except when I turn the TV on using the Xfinity remote the Hisense home page comes up and I have to use the Hisense remote to tab over to the HDMI2 and press okay. I tried the HDMI1 connection and had the same problem. When I check the TV Input on the Xfinity remote it says HDMI2. Everything else works on the Xfinity remote....pause, record, fast forward, reverse, guide, channel change, etc. I spoke with a Xfinity customer service reps by telephone on Tuesday, August 31 but the problem was not resolved. I called Hisense they said that once the Xfinity remote was programmed it should work.

The "Roku User Manual" available at https://www.hisense-usa.com/support/models/58R6E3_58-4k-uhd-hisense-roku-tv-with-hdr-2020 says on page 105 that by going to "Settings > System > Power > Power on" you can change the power-on option from "Home screen" to "Last used TV input", "Cable box", and others.

If you turn the TV on using it's own remote, does it start up on the HDMI input? If that also starts up on the home page, then you may need to check the TV settings to see if there is an option to power on "Last Used Input" or something like that.
Also, there are some power options on the cable box you can try disabling, as there can sometimes be confusion if the box wakes up too slow and the TV thinks there is nothing on that input.
