did you notice the direction that the battery illustration where the batteries go? it shows the positive and negative ends. most likely is that one or both are pointed in the wrong direction.

Yes, batteries are installed correctly. Nothing happens when I push any button. Nothing lights up. I have confirmed that the batteries are good.
