Remote not working message everyday since setting up 2 weeks ago

Since settIng this x1 box up 2 weeks ago every morning we have to set up the remote again in order to use the tv. Everything works fine all day but when shut off at night and the set takes place we receive the remote not working in the morning

Hi, @user_e1c247. Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. Having to pair your remote every day is not something we want you to have to do. With that said, I will do my best to help you get to the bottom of this. Just a quick question, when powering down for the night, do you shut off the TV box or just your TV? If so, does the remote unpair when the Box is off for long periods of time or does it happen every time you turn off the box?

We continue to have to unpair the remote each day in order to use the tv. The box is not shut off at night only the tv is turned off.  I called customer service last week once again and spent 45 minutes on the phone with a service representative who was unsuccessful in fixing the problem. He indicated he would be opening a “ticket” for the issue but I have not received any updates.

Thank you for those additional details. Your help is appreciated, and we will find a solution for you, you are in good hands! You can always swap your remote for a new one at one of our many Xfinity Locations. I also suggest a factory reset on the remote, to clear any settings.

Factory Reset the Xfinity Voice Remote with a Setup Button (XR11)

If the buttons on your Voice Remote (model XR11) are still unresponsive, you may need to perform a factory reset. To perform a factory reset:

  1. Press the Setup button until the LED at the top of the remote changes from red to green.
  2. Press 9-8-1.
  3. The LED will blink green twice to indicate that the remote was reset.

The factory reset unpairs your remote and TV Box, so you'll need to re-pair them (TV Box needs to be activated prior to re-pairing). See instructions for pairing your Xfinity remote and TV Box.
