Remote no longer pairing with TV or soundbar

Using the X15 remote with a Sony TV. A couple of days ago the remote stopped being able to change input or power on the TV. Also won't control the volume on the sound bar anymore. I've reset the remote and tried every pairing code I can find. When I push the power or input button the LED on the remote blinks red and a light on the cable box blinks green (not sure what that's for). 
Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Forums! I understand you have been having issues with your remote. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Getting up and using the box is not something I like lol. Have you tried resetting the box as well before pairing? You may also need a new remote. You can get a new remote at the closest Xfinity Store! Using the My Account app you can see the closest store in your area. 

 

If you would like to continue troubleshooting, please swap the batteries in the remote for new ones. Restart your box and then try to pair the remote again. If you are unsuccessful please swap the remote for a new one.

On your remote press the A button. Scroll over until you see "remote setup" and press it. That should help you.
