Remote Control Quality

I recently paid to have a new remote shipped to me, which arrived without incident.  ๐Ÿ‘  However, the membrane on two of the buttons (the center enter and menu recall buttons) has already worn through in less than three months.

Is there a way to obtain a more durable remote?  The older ones had solid buttons that would wear, but continued to work.  Thanks for any advice!

They normally do last a long, long, long time without issue.
