Recordings show shrunken

Recordings are shown shrunken (letter boxed) on our screen. Live TV is fine and it even fills the screen when fast forwarding or rewinding recordings.

press info button on remote while playing a show that is letterboxed. do the call letters of teh channel include HD or D at the end? you may be recording non-HD channels instead of HD.
