Recording changes

When I set up certain recordings, Comcast changes the recording. Although I live in Mass, I live much closer to Providence so I watch their channels. When I set up Providence RI CBS, which seems to be the only one I have issues with, the recording switches to Boston CBS which is blocked since my area follows Providence. How do I block Boston CBS so I can record the shows and not being able to see it without the block message show up instead? It's such a headache. Thank you for any help you can give

Somebody else had a similar problem. Try this:
1. In the guide, go to the program you want to record, on the channel you want to record; I assume there is already a recording set up for it there, so modify the recording.

2. On the options window, where it says "Channels", change it to record only that channel (the other two options should be "HD Preferred" and "SD Preferred").

3. Click "Confirm" to save the change.

I have tried recording from guide and by app. There is nothing on both about the channel, only choose between HD and SD. There was an issue with Boston channel where they lost their contract with CBS a few years ago, so assuming that's the problem too. Thank you though. Going to give Comcast a call to see if they can block from the line, which is another option I found.

@XfinityRichard I spent an hour on the phone with Comcast. Alexi fixed part of the problem with one of the shows and put it for only channel 12 Providence, but the other show only worked for a week and it's back to being blocked on Boston channel. You need to fix what people put for recordings and have it stay and not switch it around. I know I'm not the only one with this issue. In my region we know some programs are blocked by Boston which is why we program Providence, which was set up that way in the first place by Comcast. You need to do better and fix it. We're paying a small fortune on cable and can't even get the shows we want recorded.
