Recorded Program ends abrubtly

It seems that lately when I watch a recorded program (Curse of Oak Island / History Channel) anywhere from 5 mins to 40 mins in to the program it will

stop playing and a message pops up "It looks like you are done watching Curse of Oak Island" and I get the option to Save or Delete the recording. My only option is to go back to the beginning and Fast forward past the part I watched and past the part where it ended abruptly. Sometimes it will do it again in a different part of

the recording. What exactly is causing this issue ?

firemandude Thanks for creating a post. Have you noticed similar issues with other DVR recordings (possibly from other channels), or if similar notifications or errors come up when watching On Demand free content or rentals/purchases?

The issue does happen with other recordings. I just used the one as an example. It does not occur with on-demand content. I tried power cycling the box and also

syncing my dvr recordings with comcast. The issue still occurs. It does not happen with every recording but I will say at least every other recording.

Thank you for trying those troubleshooting steps @firemandude and letting us know that it is happening on at least every other recording. Have you tried to manually extend recording times (padding) by 3–30 minutes in the "Record Options" menu? Are you also experiencing this issue if you access your recordings through the Stream app?
