If you have a dvr, find what you want to record and press record on your remote

@CCAndrew Hello, I just moved to an apartment that supplies basic Xfinity cable and picked up 2 boxes yesterday but neither will give recording options following the directions given. I called the store employee and told him I get a blue circle on the screen (X1 box w/voice remote) and a msg saying I'm not subscribed to recording features. He said it's standard and will ask his boss and call right back but didn't call back and his phone goes straight to voicemail today. The bedroom box is a DTA with XR2 remote and just doesn't respond at all to the record button (or the A, B, C, D buttons, etc) though it is paired.

Problem 2. I got the 50mbps internet plan and can't apply for the EBB program either, keep getting an error msg there too- Sorry, we can't process your request at this time, call customer service. Customer service is no help. I'm approved for the program and had it at another company, though they didn't supply the device or plan yet, and need to transfer it. Every avenue I've tried for help causes more stress and it's hurting my health at this point.

(Also found out I WON'T get the free flex I signed up for bc of the basic cable that's supplied by the apmt (WHY?) and should've been told by the store employee who'd said I could record with these boxes..though I can not.)
