Received an XG2v2-P to replace my 4K XG1v4A

I changed my TV plan and was told I needed a new x1 which I paid to have shipped. I received an XG2v2-P which it seems, after some research, does not support 4K like my current XG1v4-A. Is there some reason why I would be given this new box over keeping my current 4K one?

Nope, just send it back. The XG2v2-P is actually older and the XG1v4, and the XG2 also doesn't have DVR, so not quite sure why they sent that, but you can just send it back and continue using your XG1v4.

Hello, @Johno3. I've already started working with you in PM, but wanted to acknowledge your public post for the benefit of the community.

@BHelms07 is correct. You are still able to continue using your Arris XG1v4. You can begin your return at our Return Center then, choose if you would like to return the device at any UPS location, or Xfinity location free of charge.

I'll continue to help you in private with this as well.

My pleasure! I'm glad we were able to get this figured out together.

I no longer work for Comcast.
