I reboot my DVR and it will not go beyond the welcome screen

hi is this a new install at that coax location? did you move the box (unhook it and hook it back)? is the coax on the correct coax connector (to wall not the to TV coax connector)? did you check your connections to see if tight? do you have other set top boxes in the home that are installed and working?
