Re: xfinity x1 scheduled series not recording show red circle with slash

I'm having the same issue. Does anyone know what this particular red dot display means?

Hi @gt87tucker, We appreciate you for using the Xfinity Forum to find a resolution for the recent recording issue you've experienced. We were able to confirm this issue is now resolved. If you still have issues, we ask that you unplug your cable box for one minute, then plug it back in.

is it a regular numbered channel? does the channel number have 4 digits starting with 2 or higher? did you try press the record button on the guide to see if it offered to record? (might be a previous recording that was accidently marked 'cancel' recording.

@hokie21
Check that you haven’t reached your limit of recordings at a time. That will be dependent on equipment and service

If it’s gone, it’s a done issue. If you see it again, contact tech support. They can see your scheduled recordings.

I definately had not reached the DVR recording limit.

It was a regular numbered channel. It is no longer showing this so I cannot press the record button to check this. Is there detailed documentation on the DVR that can be checked?

Tech support was not any help. They reset the box and then said they had to send a technician out for further troubleshooting. I declined.  If there were detailed instructions for the product, this could be easily figured out.

I escalated it up to a colleague who can take a look, that way you can work one on one with one person. Expect a reply here shortly

I'm having a similar problem. I have a show I record every couple of days, but it will only record 2 of the 3 shows in that series all of the sudden in the last few weeks. I see this problem going back month's for people but then resolved? re the red circle w/slash -On my dvr if I get to full the oldest shows did drop off. That part seems ok for me. There seems to be a lot of problems right now! I wish you guys would stop improving our service so much we can't use it!

Was a solution to this ever found? I am having the same issue with all of my recordings.

I just solved this problem by getting a new box.  Don't waste your time on other solutions that are posted.

I'm still unable to record some programs, but others record without a problem.
