Re: Delete unwanted channels

I have this same issue and have requested a modification that lets you surf your favorites while watching live tv.  I don't think providing a channel up favorites mode would be that difficult for Comcast.  This is the sole reason I have not upgraded to X1.  I don't like to go through the channel guide.  I just want to surf using my FAVORITES button.  Click, see what's on, click, see what's on.  Let's be clear.  It's a capability that Comcast has taken away.

You can get the same effect or better with the xfinity tv remote app on your phone or tablet. With the advantage of seeing the guide while you touch to select a favorite channel

You don’t need a dedicated favorites button. Set the guide preference and use the guide button

This description looks like you are creating a default favorites view for the guide which lets you go to the guide and select a channel. At that point you select a channel to watch and if you don’t like what’s on, you go back to the guide and select another channel. From this description, it doesn’t look like you can forward through the live favorite channels without returning to the guide. Or continue channel up to the next favorite from where you are. Will the Channel Up or Guide button go to the next favorite if my default guide is favorites?

I don’t want the extra step of going back to the guide even if it’s limited to my favorites. I want to choose a channel based on what’s actually on, not based on a static guide screen listing that I have to toggle back and forth to.

I will go to the xfinity store and have them demonstrate this for me because I still think this is a downgrade being pimped as a feature.

The favorites guide still does not go above numbered channels 999 and that was taken away some time ago, that is what many people are looking to get back, including myself.  As for using a phone or tablet app, not every one has that or wants it, please do not assume that everyone does.  I know a lot of people that do not use their phones for everything under the sun.
