RDK-03033 Errors

I have been having ongoing issues with my cable box intermittently for about a month.  My xfinity app shows everything is working fine but I have to reboot my cable box several times a day and have called technical support several times.  The issue seems to resolve temporarily and then resume  within the hour.

Hello, @user_2740d9. Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. I see you keep running into the RDK-03033 error code on your TV box. To confirm, does this occur with this one TV box, or does this error populate on the other boxes as well? Has there been any change to device's location or set up recently?

Since this post I have not had any issues.  to answer your questions this only happens on the main set top box and no other boxes and no I have not moved this to a new location.  The errors were very intermittent and not every day which was strange and I’m wondering if the weather conditions aren’t part of the problem with maybe the lines outside.

Weather should not impact your cable services, however, loose connections could cause this issue.

Have you checked if the coaxial connections going into the cable box and the wall outlet the cable box is connected to are finger tight? If there is a splitter between the cable box and wall outlet we will want to make sure all of the splitter's connections are finger tight.
