Question about Master and Slave boxes...

I was at the Xfinity store the other day upgrading my X1 master box to support my new 4K TV. A knowledgeable young African American woman was helping me out as I made my way down my list of questions. When I got to the one about whether my slave box needed to be swapped out as well, I couldn't utter the words "master" and "slave".
I'm as thick skinned as they come and have little tolerance for the easily offended. Yet I found these terms to be desparately in need of replacement.

So my question to Xfinity (and the community) is... is it time to officially change the terminology?

I agree I said the same thing when I went into an xfinity store just the other day to return some equipment. The IT community needs to rethink this.
