Problems with cable/boxes

For the past few months the cable has been really acting up. Several things have been going wrong. When you go to fastforward or pause or really try to do anything it doesn't respond or it starts to fastforward and doesn't stop. Also while watching recordings on the DVR it will randomly go to live tv. It does it too while watching live TV it will re tune to the channel it is on. Someone came out and changed the downstairs box. It did not fix the problem. It is still doing it on all the cable boxes. For the amount of money that we pay we should not be having these issues.
