Poor Audio from Select Channels
The last few months I have been getting poor audio from select channels. Basically, everything sounds fine until certain dialog and you get a small burst of static in the sound.
I have noticed it the most on the local CBS station and HBO. Most of the other channels are perfect all the time.
I assume at this point this is an issue with the feed from the channels to Comcast as I have done the following:
- I replaced my cable box. No change.
- I can replay the sound glitch at the same point all the time in the DVR Recording on multiple devices and TVs. Rules out TV & sound equipment.
- I can replay the sound glitch on Xfinity.com and on the Xfinity Stream app.
- The sound glitch happens on both live channel and DVR recordings. This includes local DVR recordings and Cloud Recordings.
I wasted $15 getting a new box. Also, I am told my signal levels are perfect.
It is almost like the sound is being sent in too hot to Comcast from the channel, which causes the audio to static or distort during higher points of dialog.

Just an update for the community. Replaced boxes. Returned boxes. Didn't fix it.
Finally got a tech out. Verified my signals and house was perfect. Infact it was described as spectacular wiring.
Referred, to maintenance. They close the ticket and did nothing.
I still have poor audio. They won't help any further without sending another tech.
What will that do? It hasn't even been 48 hours since the last tech left.
However, maintenance can just close their tickets down with no explanation or effort.
